Probably the most wished-for gift is a simple night alone from everyone (haha), but here are things you can buy — some of the most wished-for gifts for moms / parents that have it all. A great go-to list for holidays, anniversaries, birthdays and just because! Some are spurges, but all are life-improvers.

Noise canceling head phones or Ear buds
Now that we are on zoom conferences daily, noise-canceling headphones are definitely a prized possession — help yourself and your colleagues hear better.
And at night, or for those who don’t like the band, try the noise-canceling ear buds. These are also compatible with your iPhone or Android.

Neato Robot Vacuum
Robot vacuum is said to be a game-changer. One less thing to worry about and do. Run it at night when everyone is asleep and grab that tea and book instead.
or this less expensive iRobot

Silk Pillow Cases
Time for self-care. The mom hair might be fallin’ out and you might’ve only had two hours of sleep tonight, so at least let’s not wake up with sleep lines on the face and keep the hair we still have. Pamper yourself a bit with some quality silk pillow cases. Your face and hair will thank you for it. -
Instant Pot Duo Crisp Pressure Cooker
Instapot now comes with an air fryer! Holy cow, now you can do almost anything in there; it pressure cooks, sautes, steams, slow cooks, sous vides, warms, air fries, roasts, bakes, broil and dehydrates. If you don’t have an instant pot yet, I’d recommend trying it out. I have to say the instant pot does have a small learning curve about timing. I would go to their website and follow recipes there to start. Figure out what natural pressure release vs manual release is — that difference in timing is very important so that things don’t turn out to all be mushy soups. As we often eat vegetarian, this device is lovingly known as my bean pot. For example, lentils that might take 25 min on the stove top would be 7 minutes. That makes it a no-brainer for me! If the price tag is too hefty for you, and you don’t want the air fryer, I’d recommend this 6 qt. Instant Pot. Even with a small family of 3, we use a 6qt., so this is the most recommended size. They do make smaller ones, but if you’re thinking of making meals in advance for the week or stocks, go for the 6qt. or larger. -
Ugg Slippers
Feet deserve cuddle time too. Stay warm, cozy and comfortable all-year round; you might never want to take them off.

Waterproof Kindle Paperwhite
If you are an avid reader or wannabe even, get a Kindle! Download your books directly from Amazon or the library. -
Audible Gift Membership
If you feel like you don’t have any time to sit and read, I’ve found audiobooks to be a game-changer. Being able to listen while washing dishes, cooking, cleaning, etc. has made life so much more enjoyable. I’ve changed doing chores and driving to “me time” and actually look forward to it. Your public library and the Libby app are great for free books, but there is often a hold time for good books. I often use all three, but Audible is preferred. I’m hooked! -
Sonicare Electronic Toothbrush
One thing to not take for granted in this life is good teeth. Sounds odd, but you only have one set, so take care of them! Your teeth can affect your sinuses and body health, so why not get the best toothbrush you can?
-
Apple Watch – Series 6
Besides being cool, the ultimate reason to get the Apple Watch is to find your freakin’ phone. If you’re like me, my phone ends up all over the place and being able to ping my phone without having to call it is a must-have. Also, I always keep my phone on silent, so having my watch vibrate helps me never miss a call (in addition to being able to answer my phone via my watch since I don’t always have my phone on me).
Next, if you workout, you can keep track of your heartbeat which is a good motivator. You can also set up your watchface to show your favorite phone photos, which always brings a smile. -
Dermologica Power Serum
Self-care for the face! Let’s face it, parenting ages you immediately. That lack of sleep catches up quickly on your face. Here’s a way to reduce those fine lines. Has a silky smooth feeling and no strong odor.
-
Tacha Vitamin C Serum
Even our faces could use vitamins. Get rid of the dull and indulge in some self-care.
-
BaBylissPRO Hair Straightener
I only do my hair like once a week, but it’s amazing how waves wills stay in my hair until I wash it. It’s a small thing I do that takes only a few minutes to make me feel good and less frumpy even if I’m not going anywhere special. -
Dyson Cordless Vacuum
It’s powerful, cordless, bagless, has a HEPA filter, a space-saver and parents everywhere swear by it. I personally like the Miele vacuum, which is a no-frills German workhorse, but uses vacuum bags (we have allergies, plus we’re all super lazy about dumping the box). I’ve heard some people even have both vacuums! Either way, a good vacuum is key and a lifetime investment. -
Philips Sleep and Wake-up Light
How lovely is this? Pamper your loved one by allowing them to wake up in the way nature intended with the circadian rhythms of a soft light rather than the nuclear reactor meltdown alarm that makes one jump 10 feet out of bed. Of course, I’d still set a nice phone alarm after that if something is important.
